"Also, you could have silenced the guitar noises before the actual playing. ;)"
spluh! that's the whole point of grunge!
if your song doesn't have funny ambient guitar sounds at the beginning and/or end, then its not a grunge song! :)
that's my definition... one of 'em anyway.
good job.
i like the natural harmonics in the solos! awesome.

awesome IN EVERY WAY

that rocks. very STP. great solo guitar part, great riff... kick ass.

...and not because its in the wrong section

...but because almost anybody can post a song like this. a solo outburst doesn't show creativity or talent at all. it shows you have the ability to record sound, and little else. this should be in miscellaneous, but it also should have oh i don't know maybe a tune or other instruments something behind it...? that would make me give you a better score. but i do concede - you have magic fingers. rusty magic, but magic nonetheless.

OK then, so a 6 month old baby could do that aswell, right? Assuming he knows how to upload audio onto newgrounds. And anyway, I only really put this on newgrounds because I was going to build a flash around it, but then I realised that nobody would really be interested in a crappy flash about a crappy guitarist, and my animating skills weren't up to much at the tender age of 14 (even though I'm actually only 15 at the moment, but what the hey...). And yeah, it was in the wrong section, but I've now moved it to the grunge section, so there ya go. The only reason I had never moved it in the first place was because I thought that it was just a dead duck that nobody listened to anymore.

And now my fingers are aching.

okay

okay as u said a battle theme or maybe a racing game or something... otherwise this is definitely not grunge, especially w/o real guitar

uh yeah

uh yeah if these are sample sounds from some mixing/looping program then that's beat, dude. NG is the only place where you could get away with posting this as your work, and i don't even think that's right.
get a real song... one that you wrote, not just arranged some wav files in a certain order.

TheUrbanNinjaGirl responds:

get a life, i have real songs too

ok... it was pretty good

...but working hard on something doesn't make it good. 5/10 because in a lot of parts there was way too much going on for my ears. yeah, they were bleeding a little... okay a lot.

okay cool!

there are other acoustic guitars out there being recorded! this is really nice work, man... your voice is cool. raspy and "broken" and it fits. i've heard it about mine, too... don't care. keep it up!

hey i love this!

i love the sounds of ambient guitar. respect.

applause

tripped out guitar is awesome. but the droningness of this really hurt the ears, though. drums should always do more! i love saying that.

all right, that's what i'm talking about..

a lot of people submit songs like this one, would-be orchestral themes for would-be games... but many of them fall short of actually having a "theme," except this one. here, there is a definite melody and tone to the work, and a beautiful one at that. good job!
