Well hey there, party people! How'd y'all get in my room?
How've ya been, Newgrounds? It's been a minute.
Me? I sold a screenplay and I work for Hollywood now, of course. That's how it works. I was trying everything at a point - music, novels, graphic art, and finally screenplays. They're big and sad, of course, just like my music!
So, for almost a decade now, I've told myself I'd get back to music when I could rent some real studio space. And in the middle of it the studio spaces became our own homes. The technology caught up with the groundwork that I like to think I helped lay right here on Newgrounds, along with thousands of other amazing artists.
I've gotten a lot of fan mail over the years from people who said my music and the entire Newgrounds experience made a huge difference in their lives. We were connected. We'll always be connected here.
How come I don't make more music myself, like I used to? Well, screaming was taking a terrible toll on my voice, my songwriting speed was starting to slow down, my hands were cramping, and just when I probably should have been making music videos, I lost all my hair. Right as YouTube took off. You feel me?
I think it's kinda hilarious. I can leave this old world with a satisfied mind about it, at any rate. My music helped people survive. That's the highest compliment an artist can get.
Thanks.
