Finally! I was sitting in my room rocking back and forth to Saving Face Machine (Love that song lol) waiting for this.
My head could possibly explode
can't wait to hear it.
Gonna listen now.
the link is because NG likes to put spaces in links i don't know why but there is a space that shouldn't be there thats there. I am listening to the song right now i my ears are at full attention.
I'm literally addicted to The Brink.
SO FUCKING GREAT.
OMG this is THE shit
people need to heard this song
I can't stop listening to the Brink!
Fuck Waiting to Die! Fuck Terra Angelica!
This is your best work!
But for the record, I still love Terra Angelica.
Every day, i listen to this song! Please continue to make more songs like this! (But it's not like your other stuff is bad, I love your previous work) The lyrics to this song are really well put. A Thesaurus must have been used a lot (unless you have a fantastic vocabulary) This is my favorite song on my iPod. (I have all of your songs on my iPod by the way)
no i'm just that laconic, sometimes. no thesauri here. ok well i do own a couple of them but, to borrow an extraordinarily arrogant quote from ernest hemingway, "Actually if a writer needs a dictionary he should not write. He should have read the dictionary at least three times from beginning to end and then have loaned it to someone who needs it." damn that bastard was cool.
thanks for listening.
play the ipod loud!

sic semper tyrannus
I don't think you need to use obscure latin phrases in your song, it just sounds pretentious and I'm sure that's not what you intended by it but that's how it comes across to me. Hopefully I'm the only person who finds that frustrating and patronising.
Gunshy (Updated )
hopefully you're right.
but on the other hand, i don't care. if you dont know this phrase then its now your job to look it up. if thats pretension, then so be it. i know what the phrase means.
you dont think i need to use latin phrases (its not obscure by anyone's standard but yours), but i certainly liked using the phrase this time. i dont NEED to do half the shit i do, but i do it anyway.
THE IRONY: is that what the phrase means also fits in that melody perfectly, and i knew that before recording the vocals.
AND: I just have to ask you, if you check back again... Is it pretentious to have used a latin phrase because you didn't immediately know what it meant, or did you know the significance of the phrase, and you genuinely feel sorry for - and feel the need to stick up for - all those others that don't know what sic semper tyrranus means? i'm curious.
