a hero isn't just a shining example of valor or courage... a hero shows you how to live your life, which includes how not to live your life... heroes leave lessons, they commit acts which impress upon us, the witnesses, a value or two, whether we like it or not, for better or worse. a hero is an antihero is a hero. hemingway taught me that. hendrix taught me that playing a guitar upside-down is okay... we all have different ways of looking at the same thing.
that, and yeah... he rocked.
Houdini is my hero.
nice.
I think this list could use some comedians.
some comedians?!
wtf do you think Lenny Bruce, Andy Kaufman, John Belushi, and the Big Bopper were? dishwasher salesman?!
you mean MORE comedians!
Mitch Hedberg
Sam Kinison
Richard Jeni
Bill Hicks
hm... people must be DYING to get on that list.
nice
wasnt it a pain in the ass to make this post?
not really
Dazmi, you really can't see how Pac IS a hero?

It's funny how many people died at 27. I know that Kurt Cobain tried to mimic Hendrix, and killed himself at the same age.
The-Swain
Heath wasn't really a hero, but you got the "dead" part right.
If Dark Knight is good I'll take it back. Only then.

i hear ya on that one... it better be fuckin golden.
admiuttedly, i hesitated to put him on this list, because i didn't really know him that well, as a fan or anything. but, he too died young, and inadvertently killed himself, so up he goes.
