maybe I am a busy guy.
maybe I do have a lot of energy.
but maybe i don't five a fuck what the weird meme is going on today.

i re-did the disk art for "No Standard Model" and while it's still not available for download, the price is today's date, which I find pretty ironic. Also all the songs might sound a little better. Sorry Riot, but hey... PM me if it sucks... idk.

i started putting together a 3-disk retrospective box set of my early material. i have little intention of selling it. so you might see a lot of that here. yay.

3 or 4 books being written concurrently, all fiction. 3 of them are outstanding projects: 1) "Infinity" - a collaboration with best friend concerning a science team discovering the afterlife, then going there - to a world of pure imagination where all is light and possible; 2) "life is a temporary position" - an immortal man discovers the truths of our world and his own life in a hilarious tale of shitty jobs, women, the seedy underbelly of the black market and corporate America, and life on Earth in general (hey check this out, I posted the 1st chapter of this one on Facebook, with more to come!); 3) probably entitled "Paranoid Monkey" or something like that, possibly "Redhibitory Devolution" if I'm feeling saucy about it - this is a re-imagining of my very very first full-length novel, a rock starlet named Ruth Pine begins slipping through parallel realities, and must fight her way back in order to carry out the existential mission of a lifetime... of all our lifetimes.
The fourth book is just some short stories, all using pre-existing characters (so to speak), so we'll see how that's cookin' in a little while. Stephen from Godlings, the whole crew from "Lovers of Life" in the collection Ten Pieces, and more! More characters from shit no one's actually read.

Oh, and also I want to thank all the veterans today for bravely defending our freedoms. i just hope we can all look forward to a day when violence isn't believed to be necessary to protect those freedoms.

I'm not really YungJazz.

that much is obvious.

Hey Yungjazz

Combo Breaker!!!

YungJazz?

C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER!

wow, i don't know whats going on up there ^^

excited for the new books, as always. and as for the re-release of no standard model, im not too worried about it. i guess i have the limited edition test runs of that and manifest destiny. theyll be worth something someday, although admittedly i haven't taken great care of them.

also, im excited in the retrospective box set. id like to see your journey in music. don't get overly hung-up on production values or anything, even if it sounds disgusting, ive got money laying around with your name on it and im sure others do too. i know just being and sources of possible ignition were some of your earlier music, and i really like it. ive always been wanting to hear more of it.

keep it up,
me.

lol yes, you have limited editions! the 1st editions, actually, so yeah they'd be worth a lot if i ever actually amounted to anything. i do take pride in my 'toileing in obscurity' because that's they way of it... ya toil in obscurity for just so long, and then either BANG or WHUMP you have a kinda hit song or whatever... hopin it happens. the live shows will probably clinch it for me. my voice, filling a room... yeah i can't wait.

>>although admittedly i haven't taken great care of them.

lol! i'm horrible to my cds, so i hear ya :)

the retro box set: tentatively titled "Electro Retro Box" - actually everything on it predates even those two songs, like this one "Faded Little Star" that was actually THE VERY FIRST song i recorded with guitar and vocals. it's horrible (just my humble opinion), but it really is telling of where i had come from (techno) and where i wanted to go (grunge) with the music. but there is literally no guitar or vocals on anything in the box set until disk 3, which covers 2006-07... so this is all my earliest work. with FLP3&4...
disks 1 & 2 are 2002-03 and 2004-05, respectively, encompassing most of the songs that i started out just putting up here on NG and hoping for the best, so i may re-post them again, with the disclaimer that these are from X years ago and blah blah blah...
the funny part is a lot of that music has... well, they have parts of songs i later used in other songs, like this song "War Muster" is straight techno, but the chord riffs are what ended up being part 3 of "Terra Angelica" - there's a few more instances of that kinda thing spread out over the whole set.

really for hardcore fans. of which you are one! :)
and i am forever grateful for that
