NEW SONG! OOH OOH OOH NEW SONG!

"This Is It (The Title)"

what am i gonna do?
what am i gonna do?
ooh with you?
what am i supposed to say
with conviction meant to convey
something or other?
doo-dad whatcha-ma-callit

this is the title of the song
which i will proceed to repeat ad nauseam

oh true love has lost its home
discredited and foreclosed
for a few broken bones
bankrupt like the morals that we espouse
frozen in a credit hell
and gains no interest
true love moves no units

this is the title of the song
which i will proceed to repeat ad nauseam
this is the title of the song
which i will proceed to repeat ad nauseam
this is the story of
all our hopes and dreams
and deepest sympathies
all but forgotten
home sweet home
all but forgotten

(this is the title of the song)

i just want to live in peace
i just want to live at ease
not on my fuckin knees
we - yeah, all of us - are free
but only just so free
as much as can be
just as free as we let us be
only as free as we let us be

this is the title of the song
which i will proceed to repeat ad nauseam
seriously
this is the title of the song
which i will proceed to repeat ad nauseam
this is the story of
all our hopes and dreams
and deepest sympathies
all but forgotten
common sense
all but forgotten
even magic
all but forgotten
only as free as we let us be

AND

comin up with a new album soon, a distinctly Newgrounds collection of songs, ranging from featured material to acoustic demos (remixed) to plugged versions of otherwise acoustic songs (guess which one!) and some other stuff i hope you'll enjoy. i have the lineup down now (first three songs have variations of 'machine' in the title, i'll say that much), so i'm just working on the text and all that jazz. kudos and thanks to all who bought THE FIRST ALBUM and of course much appreciation in advance to any and all who would help support my musical ambitions... namely conquering rock n roll!

...and getting a new computer with which to make even more delicious music!
making more music more delicious?
something like that.
help!

[+R]

p.s.: i put up a bunch of foam in my studio, so now the vocals should sound a little better. and actually the vocals for the new song were done (except for two lines, literally) before the foam, so if you think it still sounds bad, just wait til next time. and fuck you. :)

Comments

sweet!!!!!
i love it!!!!!

cool

not to be a dick, your grungeyness but...
ITS ABOUT TIME
no really great work on all your songs and if i had money id buy your albums

LOL yeah yeah yeah... :)
just remember my name, that's all i ask
and not my handle my name!

I'm definitely getting the new album.
Can't hold back the anticipation.

you'll love this, Chicken.... the next album's lineup is in formation, recording to come soon - opening song is called "Chickenshit"

New album? AWESOME

new album of old material
AND
starting to think about NEW NEW ALBUM of (mostly) new material. some of it will be released here, some of the songs i'm just gonna sit on (hard work, seriously) and let them be only on the album or myspace or for individual download on SNOCAP (which better have upgraded their Flash compatibility or i'm gonna burn their servers to the ground!).

You never let me down, Ross.

When you make a CD, please put Just Being on it. Its an awesome song that I think has been mistreated.

But the new song is awesome, and if you ever make any t-shirts that aren't weird I'll buy one :P

lol yeah about the t-shirts. i wish i was more of a visual artist. (would gladly entertain the idea for collab-ing with t-shirt art!)
and hey this one's relatively normal:

OR this one:
http://www.zazzle.com/r%C3%B8ss_m anifest_destiny_contact_info_t_sh irt-235745372056322476

i can actually confirm that "just being" IS on the new CD, which is more of a retrospective than anything else. i considered calling it "anthology, volume 1" if that didn't sound just too damn egotistical fo rme, implying there would be a vol. 2 at some point... anyone else own the album 'DGC Rarities Vol. 1'? cuz i do and fuck there's NEVER been a second volume. it's funny in a sad way.

I'd like to add that, when you download the song the title is:

257296_Ross___This_is_it__The_Tit.mp3

LOLOL

lol i did notice that during upload, fucking hilarious!
OH MY GOD, it's the tit!
RRRRRRUUUUUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNN!

Chickenshit? Now THAT, is an epic album name.

song name

ChickenGod
ChickenPissInTheRoad

ChickenShit

I'd say that the song is a tribute to you, Joe.

no no that's actually been the title of that particular song for like 5 years. not to burst chicken's buibble or nothin

Yeah, you know what I mean.

SOME OF THOSE BANKRUPT MORALS:

In America...
...all people are proclaimed to be created equal, but some are shit on more than others.
...gay people don't have the right to marry as per majority opinion, and thus don't have the right to be happy and/or completely miserable for the rest of their lives like the rest of us.
...money is well-known and accepted to be immaterial, ultimately made up of only electronic impulses forming ones and zeros on computer screens.
...marriage is proclaimed "sacred" by adulterers and child-molesters, and yet divorce is legal. (and in fact, more popular than marriage)
...gambling addiction is promoted AND deplored by the state.
...alcohol and tobacco, the biggest killers in american history, are taxed by the state, regulated by the state, and grown by state-subsidized farms, and kept legal and fully-stocked by virtue of state money.
...most of the members of religions who follow a set of commandments, the 6th (or 5th if you're catholic) of which specifically said "do not kill" on the original stone, cheer for state-sponsored executions, champion state-started and state-led wars (but don't usually enlist), and actively promote technologies, foods, and drugs which have been proven widely to cause harm to people, animals, and the world on the whole, which may or may not lead to the deaths of the majority of the earth's population, if not all of it on a long enough timeline.
